NON-USPC BICYCLE DESIGNS

Numerous card makers in the late 19th and early 20th Century created bicycle-themed playing card designs. Some were entirely original, and others were likely inspired by the U.S. Playing Card Company’s ever-evolving line of Bicycle cards. Below you will find a sampling of some of these designs. Many of the cards pictured below are from the United Kingdom, which had a longstanding fascination with bicycles on playing cards. Most of the rest of the designs shown are from U.S. manufacturers.

Also of interest are some of the advertising decks that promote actual brands of bicycles, such as the Hartford and the especially beautiful Monarch decks (see the above link).
