Introduced in 1913. Discontinued in 1917.
Almost identical to Mobile No. 2, except that the automobile has been updated to a newer model. Very rare–in more than 40 years of collecting Bicycle playing cards, I had never seen a complete deck. One finally surfaced on eBay in December of 2025 and bidding was predictably spirited. See the results in Sales Data, below. I have also pictured the deck below, courtesy of Jackson Lichtman, the winner of the auction.
SALES DATA
A red single from a salesman’s sample sold on eBay on June 9, 2016 for $114. While this may seem like an inordinately high price for a single card, Bicycle salesman’s sample sets are rare, and they are seldom “parted-out” for singles. Even a more common back design from a sample set could be expected to fetch a high price, but Mobile No. 3 is particularly scarce.
A VG- red US8c deck, complete with joker and box, sold on eBay for $1414 on 12/03/25 (11 bids).
