Introduced in 1913. Discontinued in 1935. Relatively common and possible to find in excellent or better condition in red or blue. Brown and green decks, on the other hand, are exceedingly rare. Until Steve Bowling sent me a scan of a brown card (above and enlarged in the last image, below), I did not even realize that Automobile No. 2 had been offered in the latter two colors.
Mrs. Robinson did not include green or brown in her caption for this deck, although she did annotate the copy of her pamphlet that I own with the addition of “brown” in pen. Also note that the sample card, below, indicates that this design was indeed offered in green and brown. I, along with Mrs. Robinson, have never seen a single Automobile No. 2 card in green (the image, above, is photoshopped to serve as a placeholder).
